Savior's
Pain
Dirty Rags and broken skin,
He stumbled down the street
Battered by an angry mob,
A prophecy made complete.
And though He cried out in pain
His blood was not in vain
Nails would bind his hands and feet
To a splintered tree
As they mocked and spit, He pled,
ÏForgive them, they cannot see!
And though He cried out in pain
His Truth still remains
His love is never ending
A debt I can't repay
His Son to die He was sending
To give life to show the way
And as my mind sets on that day
When he hung upon that hill
A crowd that shouted, CRUCIFY!
Didn't know who they had killed
And I ask, why my God was slain?
And He tells me, its the only way.
