Upcoming Solomon's Porch Events and Opportunities

Summer Schedule Revision: Only one Gathering starting this Sunday, May 11th. We're going to be going to one gathering (at 6:00 pm) starting this week instead of starting on May 25th.

Transform Group's new summer schedule:
The Transform group will only be meeting once a month (the first Monday of the month) during the summer.

Philip's Promotion Party Wednesday May 7th 4:30 PM-7:30 PM at the Highland Bank Building. You're invited! Philip Anderson is being promoted and his practice is having a reception in his honor. The reception will be from 4:30pm-7:30pm (come and go) in the Highland Bank Building - 5270 W. 84th St, Suite 420 Bloomington, MN 55437. Please RSVP to Philip by Wednesday, April 30th. 952-345-3025 > work 612-418-4210 > cell philip.anderson@thrivent.com, tundraphil@yahoo.com

Boylan Going Away Party Sunday March 25th, after gathering at the Porch. Alfred Tennyson once said, "I am a part of all that I have met." That quote defines what our community means to us. Over the past seven years, each of you has been an essential part of our story ... a story that will endure until we meet again ... and then continue its tale. We are sad to be leaving, but thrilled that we will be back (March 2010). Please help us to create some memories that will take us through the next couple of years .. after the Gathering on May 25th (there will only be one Gathering that night as it's Memorial Day) at the Porch. Kelly will be home for the weekend and would love to see you all, as would I. We'll have more details as we get closer to the date, but I wanted you to mark your calendars now. Thanks and we hope to see you there!

Prayer Requests
Everhart family update
We would like to thank the Solomon's Porch community for all the prayers and offers of help during the past weeks since Isaac was injured in the assault and robbery. We really appreciate it, and feel comforted by all the well wishes. We are doing the best we can, and the internal healing is slow, but we are strong. -The Everharts

Jake is still serving in North Africa with the US Army.  Please keep him in your prayers. Also, he loves hearing form us, his church community, so email him often! :) nelsojac@googlemail.com

Giving Financially to Solomon's Porch
There are a few ways to contribute financially to Solomon's Porch.
1. VANCO: http://solomonsporch.com/Documents/vancodepositform.pdf or contact Liz Byer (liz@solomonsporch). The form is also available for you to pickup right outside the church office.  Currently, we have 25 people who are using this great service.  We are charged a reasonable fee for using the company that processes the payments, so the more contributors, the better.
2. Google Checkout at http://solomonsporch.com/give. Google Checkout is not charging a processing fee, so 100% of your contribution will go to Solomon's Porch.
3. Consider setting up recurring or one time payments through auto bill pay with your personal banking institution.
4. And of course, dropping your check or cash in the mail or one of the boxes in the gathering space works, too!

Dollhouse
Denmans have a cool handmade doll house to give away. James built it for Ashley but alas she has outgrown wanting to play with it.. It's about 3 feet tall and 2 feet across with a main floor, second floor and a roof. So you want it? If so, we'll bring it to the porch and hand it over. We'd love it to go to a family we know since it was made and used with so much love. K, J and A
