Groups

Groups are how we organize our “collective”: Tapestry Groups, Working Groups, and Open Groups.

Tapestry groups are composed of Covenant Participants. These groups are used for communication and accomplishing certain “chores” (building cleaning, communion set-up and introduction, hosting meetings, etc).

Working Groups are people organized to get tasks done. These groups create and implement the hopes and dreams of this community and are also another voice in the community for decision-making.  These groups form how our community functions and requires a commitment to a focused area for a certain period of time.  Unlike the tapestry groups, it is voluntary to be a part of a working group. Click here for a current list of Working Groups.

Open Groups are any of the activities of Solomon’s Porch that are not part of one of the others. In the “Join Us” section of this site, you will find a variety of Open Groups. These groups have no restrictions, and any Covenant Participant can start a group of activity. Because of this not all Open Group activities will be listed on this site, but can be found on the calendar in the “News & Events” section.
